Are you feeling nervous before your first driving lesson? You are not alone as every driver on the road today has been where you are right now. However, they all made it through that first lesson, and so will you!

Get your provisional driving license

Make sure you have already applied for your provisional license in advance of your first driving lesson, as it often takes a while to arrive. Carry it to your lesson so your instructor knows that you’re legally allowed to drive.

Get settled in comfortably

When you get in the car adjust your seat correctly. You need to make sure you are able to reach the pedals properly.

Ask the Instructor lots of questions

Most importantly, do not be afraid of asking the instructor questions if you do not understand something! Your instructor is used to teaching beginners, and it is their job to help you learn.
